Occasionally I go to Reduced to Clear, a shop that stocks items that are close to their ‘best before date’, or sometimes past it. I usually only buy a couple of things, often because the items are ones I’ve never seen before, so buying them is a bit of a leap of faith. I don’t want to buy too much of something and then find I don’t like it.
At the beginning of the year I bought some peach green tea bags, just because they looked interesting. When I tried them, I loved the flavour! But when I went back to Reduced to Clear a few weeks later, they’d sold out. I couldn’t find it in supermarkets anywhere, it seems that this product is only stocked at Reduced to Clear! So buying the tea cheaply is the only way to do it (when it’s in stock).
The other day I popped into the shop again and they had heaps of the peach green tea bags, so I stocked up. It was two for $3.50 so I bought four packets for $7. Score!
