Last week I got an offer too good to be true. A colleague had a half price ticket to the theatre. I didn’t care what the play was, it was the fact that here was a bargain to be had, and I’d be entertained at the cinema cheaply, with good company.
In the past month I’ve also got a free double pass to Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap and another free double pass to a science play called Into the Uncanny Valley. Both were good in their own way, but the beauty of it was I could offer a friend a freebie and get some culture at the same time. Here’s to the complimentary plus one, may it never end.
